You can scan your code right within Visual Studio Code, using the Codespy extension. To install, simply click the Extensions button on the left, then enter Codespy in the search box. After installing, code will automatically be scanned for AI when you open it. You can also right-click any file and scan it. See below for a walkthrough.

Integrated into Github

You can use Codespy within Github by installing the Codespy Github App and then pushing supported files to your repository. Codespy will automatically scan supported files, and add the results to the push check report. See here for instructions.

How is this product different from AI Detector Pro?

AI Detector Pro is for text content generated by ChatGPT. It's used mainly by writers. They use it to humanize their writing. Codespy is intended to be a B2B product for businesses whose engineers may use AI to generate code. When these companies fulfill their contracts, they might accidentally send faulty code to their clients. This creates outages and reflects poorly on the company, which results in losses, additional time spent correcting the AI code, and loss of future contracts due to reputational damage.

Why did you build this product?

We built this product after our reputation for detection grew, and companies contacted us asking if we did AI mailmacode checking. We recognized a need in the market, researched the negative impacts of AI code, and built this product to help programming organizations retain their reputations.

Does Codespy rewrite AI code?

No, Codespy only detects AI code. Given the current state of technology, a human programmer should rewrite the defects we discover in the AI Code.

Can I buy Codespy as an independent/freelance programmer?
